Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mapstra, provided by Code Trade Kft., a company based in Hungary ("we", "us", or "our"). By using Mapstra, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

1. Use of the Service

Mapstra allows users to create interactive maps of their travels and upload related photos. Users can organize their images into map-based projects and optionally share their maps via public links.

The core service is free to use. A digital download feature is available as a one-time purchase, allowing you to export your map as a high-resolution image file. Current pricing is displayed within the app. Users may upload up to 25 images per map.

2. User Content

You may upload images to your account and associate them with maps. You are solely responsible for the content you upload. By uploading content, you affirm that:

You own the content or have permission to use it.
Your content does not infringe any copyright, privacy, or other legal rights.
You do not upload offensive, unlawful, or misleading material.

While other users cannot comment or interact with your content directly, you are responsible for anything you choose to share via public links.

3. Email Communications and Marketing

By providing your email address to us (whether through account creation, newsletter signup, or other means), you agree that we may send you:

Essential service-related emails (such as account confirmations, password resets, or important service updates).
Marketing and promotional emails about new features, product launches, and special offers (where you have provided consent as required by applicable law).

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Service-related emails cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account.

4. Purchases and Payments

The digital download feature allows you to purchase a one-time export of your map as a high-resolution image file. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.

During checkout, Stripe will collect your name, email address, and billing address. We receive and store this information for invoicing purposes. Your download link and invoice will be sent to the email address you provide at checkout - please ensure it is valid.

We do not store any payment card data. All card processing is handled exclusively by Stripe.

5. Restrictions

When using Mapstra, you agree not to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
Use the service to distribute spam or malware.
Attempt to access or tamper with other users' data.
Use the service for commercial purposes without our written permission.

6. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if your behavior creates legal risk for us or other users.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Mapstra service, including software, branding, and design, belong to Code Trade Kft. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell any part of the service.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Mapstra is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code Trade Kft. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or use.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in Hungarian courts.
